This cane has some remarkable grain, wow! The handle and shaft are both made from rare salvage harvested Tasmanian blackwood. The grain in the handle is heavily quilted with deep 3D looking grain, it's hard to believe the surface is flat! The shaft has crinkle curl figure throughout that is also 3D looking but with smaller "waves". Tasmanian blackwood is extremely chatoyant with grain that catches and moves with light. There is both lighter sapwood and darker more colorful heartwood on this cane, blending between the two in both the handle and shaft. This one is a gorgeous and functional cane for any lover of wood grain. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
