Landscape Rosewood and Maple Cane
Landscape Rosewood and Maple Cane
This tradition handled piece features landscape figured rosewood. Its a rare rosewood species to begin with, and grain that's so uniquely figured is rarer still. It is Dalbergia Dongnaiensis, a rosewood so obscure that it only has a Latin scientific name, Dalbergia Dongnaiensis, from S. E. Asia. Once this material is gone - I'll never see more, its a critically endangered species and only very old stock can be found. The rest of the wood is figured maple with lovely, highly chatoyant grain that moves and catches light dramatically. The divider is birdseye maple with an intricate end-grain view and brass. Medium weight cane, good for daily use by anyone Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
