Ironwood and Tzalam Cane
Ironwood and Tzalam Cane
Here's a traditional walking cane with two exotic hardwoods. The handle is ironwood, its about as "plain" as this wood gets, but it still has a handsome grain and nice shimmer. Brass is always my metal of choice with ironwood as it pairs so nicely with the golden shimmery grain and there is a centerpiece in the divider of chocolate ironwood burl. This piece of ironwood burl looks nearly black in lower lighting, but in brighter light its grain can be appreciated. The shaft is Tzalam wood, and its has a shimmery grain like the ironwood. Would make a nice daily use cane. Its medium to lighter in weight, durable handle but not a heavy shaft. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
