Guayacan and Olive Cane
Guayacan and Olive Cane
This cane features a world record holder - the densest wood in the world, Guayacan (genuine lignum vitae). Guayacan is the densest of several related wood species that all carry the name "lignum vitae". genuine lignum is a very slow growing tree and its been harvested for its uniquely hard wood for centuries, today genuine lignum is endangered and highly protected. It's only very old material that was harvested long ago that can be found and used in my work today. Very special and rare, most material that’s still on the market is badly cracked and poor quality. The shaft on this piece is another profoundly heavy wood, a type of olive tree from South Africa. Finished with brass, this cane measures 38" in length can can be shortened to fit.
A heavy cane, and a great self defense cane. Daily use appropriate for users of larger stature and strength.
