Dinosaur Bone and Zebrawood Stick

$800.00

This unique walking stick features an ancient bone handle from the Dinosaurs! Yes, that's correct, its a round sphere carved from a large piece of fossilized bone that is Millions of years old dating back to the dinosaurs. The pattern in the stone shows the original cell structure from within the bone, now fossilized and hardened to solid agate. The shaft is "knob thorn acacia" wood from S. Africa, an interesting tree that lives up to its name. The wood is a striking piece of figured African Zebrawood with a straight taper. Total length measures 39" and can be shortened to fit.

These stone-topped sticks that I make are lovely and functional walking aids. I do recommend a wrist strap be used with one though, or used with extra care, as a fall to a hard surface could damage the stone.
