Kosso Cane
Kosso Cane
This piece is made using a rare and endangered woods species called "Kosso". This wood is a relative of Padauk wood but it is considered one of the rosewood species by the Chinese, who have demanded and harvested Kosso to near extinction. Kosso is especially rare in the western world where very little of it was every imported; today the species is protected and trade restricted and stock is very old and scarce. Its beautiful, the main reason for its scarcity, with canary colors and nice chatoyance. The divider is a figured piece of another wood that was coveted by the Chinese, "Hainan Rosewood", which today is the most expensive wood in the whole world. A good daily use cane with lovely colors and grain, especially more in-person than the picture show. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
