Imbuia Whale Tail Cane
Imbuia Whale Tail Cane
As its name implies, this cane is quite literally carved into the likeness of a whale's tale! The whole cane is the same wood called Imbuia from Brazil. A rare and threatened species, Imbuia wood is quite rare. The handle has really nice pomelle figure throughout which adds to the already nice chatoyant effect of this wood. The handle also blends into lighter wood and blends back at the tips of the tail into darker wood again for a beautiful effect. A brass divider complements the golden shimmer of the Imbuia, and the shaft has daker streaks with nice grain contrast.
The whale tale is my largest cane handle, its meant to catch some eyes! Its size makes this cane more of a special occasion type of cane, as opposed to an every day cane, but its size does not compromise its comfort - its very enjoyable to use. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
