Thuya and Granadillo Cane
Thuya and Granadillo Cane
This hand crafted walking cane is made from Thuya Burl. Thuya has been in high demand for hundreds, even thousands of years, and it is only found in the mountains of Morocco where it typically grows beneath the tree in the ground. Thuya in its raw form is extremely aromatic, many different religions over time have burned Thuya as incense; probably the larger reason people have wanted the wood for so long. The shaft is a beautiful piece of Granadillo wood, it's a rosewood-like species with a rich, dark color, beautiful grain, and high density. A divider of snakewood, brass, and thin Brazilian rosewood completes this cane. Could be used daily, but shouldn't be used to support weight on account of the grain in the handle. Medium weight itself. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
