This eye-catching cane features a dark ironwood burl handle. My favorite wood, Arizona Desert Ironwood is super dense and durable with beautiful grain that usually chatoyant. The vibrant orange colored shaft wood is Pernambuco, otherwise known as Brazil wood. Shortly after this species was first discovered by Europeans it become so popular and was in such high demand in Europe that they named the county of Brazil after this wood! It is a fine wood for craft and artwork, but it was also an important dye-producing resource. Today Pernambuco is nearly extinct and highly protected in the wild. Very scarce and rare. Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
