Ironwood and Tambootie Cane
Ironwood and Tambootie Cane
Even after working with countless woods I can confidently say I have a favorite species - Desert Ironwood from Arizona. This extremely rare piece of desert ironwood burl is outstanding quality material with golden chatoyance, contrasting bands, and burl grain. An above average piece of ironwood burl, very nice. The divider is teak burl with brass and two thin layers of ironwood. The shaft is Tambootie wood from S. Africa. Who doesn't like that name - Tambootie? Total length measures 38" and can be shortened to fit.
This cane would also make a good daily user, very classy but perfectly functional. On the heavier side, but these are very durable woods.
